The Cat’s Diary

Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now …

F*chkSh1T DRM and EA

30. October 2008 von admin

I didnt buy spore, hesitating if the draconian DRM with limited installations is worth it at all but this little piece of gem from their forums, just made them a loose a customer:

Your forum account will be directly tied to your Master EA Account, so if we ban you on the forums, you would be banned from the game as well since the login process is the same. And you’d actually be banned from your other EA games as well since its all tied to your account. So if you have SPORE and Red Alert 3 and you get yourself banned on our forums or in-game, well, your SPORE account would be banned to. It’s all one in the same, so I strongly reccommend people play nice and act mature.

All in all, we expect people to come on here and abide by our ToS. We hate banning people, it makes our lives a lot tougher, but its what we have to do.

Those banned will stay banned, but like most other internet services, its not that hard to create a new fake e-mail account. However, its a lot harder to get a new serial key =)

Avatars should be back within 2 weeks of the launch.

Not that I fear getting banned on their forums or ever, but talk about customers rights.
Discussion on it and where I found this little piece of gem here: quarter to three forums.

Schäuble

Hellboy: The Golden Army

22. October 2008 von _scout_

Nur kurz:

Rockt!

Star Wars: The Old Republic

22. October 2008 von _scout_

I feel the need to comment the annoucement of this, though as ex SWG player Im very disgruntled with LA.

So here my comment (which I orginally put into the quarter to three forum):

Star Wars ‘was’ the most open up setting being fantasy in space, grabbing both genres with magic (the force) and tech (space ships) but not with the burdens (using orcs and elfs) or needing to explain stuff with science (like Star Trek).

Apart from that as Tom (Chick) wrote in his TFU review:

“the things that made Star Wars good back when it was good: shame, betrayal, redemption, family, love, destiny and the storytelling insight to realize that Galactic politics, droids, spaceships and aliens were just a backdrop.”

If Bioware can keep telling stories like that in an MMO environment (which I sadly dont see with the look at griefing potential), they might get me but till then:
“this is not the game you are looking for” *waves hand*

US-Bestseller-Autor John Grisham:
